Guest Speaker:

Schuyler VanValkenburg, PX’04, brings a unique and powerful perspective as the 2025 Norris Pig Dinner Speaker: as a longtime public school teacher and active Virginia state legislator, he has bridged the worlds of education and public policy. Currently teaching History and U.S. Government at Glen Allen High School, he draws on real classroom experience to advocate for stronger public schools and sound civic engagement. As a former Delegate (and now State Senator), he has spearheaded legislation to boost teacher pay, expand school counseling, and defend fair voting practices. Schuyler exemplifies the 5 values of Phi Gamma Delta and will share how the fraternity has shaped his commitment to public service.
